The Hunter Transmission Project (HTP) is a critical 110-kilometer, 500 kV transmission line connecting Bayswater and Eraring in NSW’s Hunter region. This initiative aims to close the northern loop of the state’s existing transmission network, enhancing energy infrastructure across three key sections: HTP North (Bayswater to Broke), HTP Central (Pokolbin to Corrabare), and HTP South (Olney to Eraring).

Project outcome
The consortium secured the contract to design and construct the HTP, set for completion by December 2028. This project will strengthen NSW’s power grid, facilitate renewable energy integration and support the state’s energy transition, playing a crucial role in Australia’s future energy landscape.
